Our Journey
VidFluency was born out of frustration. I started my journey building apps to help myself learn Chinese because the existing market felt like a trap, popular apps were designed to make you feel like you were learning, without delivering real fluency.
I decided to build the tools I actually needed: real context, real videos, spaced repetition, and no "gamified" junk. What began as a personal passion project to solve my own struggles quickly evolved into VidFluency, a platform designed for learners who are tired of games and ready for actual progress.
Our Vision & Mission
At VidFluency, our vision is to end the "eternal beginner" cycle. We believe that true fluency comes from immersion, not a dopamine spike when we reach our 100 day streak. We want to empower learners to stop studying words they will never use and start connecting with culture through content they actually enjoy.
We are on a mission to bridge the gap between entertainment and education. By making native video content accessible, we give you the tools to understand real-world speech from day one—turning every video into a personalized language lesson.
